La Compañía de Teatro KALIPATOS fundada en 2001 por su ahora Directora EUGENIA CANO, se ha destacado en el ambiente teatral por sus magníficas puestas en escena.
Teatro de vanguardia, y performances de excelente calidad interpretativa, aunado a excelentes guiones escritos tanto por Eugenia Cano como otros autores.
El grupo se constituye con actores, bailarinas y músicos lo que propicia que desde un inicio el grupo se haya dedicado a la creación de espectáculos multidisciplinario. El grupo ha producido espectáculos tanto para adultos como para niños con el apoyo de diversas instituciones y ha participado en diferentes festivales y encuentros en México y el extranjero.

TEATRO KALIPATOS Bio data
This Group was founded by Eugenia Cano in Guanajuato, Mexico in 2001. She invited diferent performing artists: actors, dancers and musicians. Due to the diferent traning of its member, Kalipatos has become an interdisciplinary company. Since its creation the group has presented shows for children and adult as well with the support of diferent institutions. It has participated in many festivals and foros in Mexico and abroad. They have produced the next plays:
EVA (2007): a special production for the XXXV International Cervantino Festival. Direction and dramaturgy by Eugenia Cano
MOTHER COURAGE (2006): an adaptation of Bertotl Brecht´s play by Eugenia Cano. This project won the contest for Young Directors and the Fondo para la Cultura y las Artes Centro-Occidente produced the play and organized a tour in diferent states of Mexico.
LAURENCIA (2004): an adaptation of the play Fuenteovejuna by Lope de Vega to the Kathakali Language. Sponsored by Fondo Nacional para la Cultura y las Artes. Tour in diferent states of Mexico.
ARJUNA (2001): this show is based on one of the main characters of the Mahabharata. Sponsored by the Instituto Estatal de la Cultura de Guanajuato. It was presented in Montreal in its French version.
The children´s play are integrated in a trilogy called DREAMSECTARIUM that wants to present the human dreams through little insects. These plays are:
CUCA IS DREAMING (2007) ZOOM, THE MOSQUITO (2004) THE SPIDER´S DREAM (2003)
These plays have been presented many times in Mexico and abroad. Zoom represented the state of Guanajuato in 2004 in the First National Encounter of Children´s Culture.
